Heavy localized rain across the country has disrupted some flights traveling between Jeju and other regions.

As of 6 p.m. on the day, Jeju Airport reported that 51 flights were canceled—26 domestic departures and 25 arrivals.

Additionally, 112 flights experienced delays, including 110 domestic flights (54 departures and 56 arrivals) and 2 international flights (1 departure and 1 arrival).

Flight cancellations were concentrated in areas with heavy rain such as Wonju, Gwangju, Gimhae, Cheongju, Yeosu, and Pohang-Gyeongju.

Jeju Airport stated, “Flight cancellations and delays are mainly due to bad weather at other regional airports,” and urged passengers to check flight information in advance.

Heavy rain is expected to continue through the weekend.

Travelers visiting or returning to Korea are advised to monitor flight status and prioritize safety.
