Today in Seoul, South Korea, the temperature rose to 34.3°C, marking the hottest day of the month so far, and the heatwave is expected to continue for the time being.

The heatwave warning areas are expanding, with extreme heat likely to continue through the weekend and holidays. Tropical nights are also forecast, raising concerns over heat-related illnesses.
Morning lows started high, with 25°C in Seoul, Gwangju, and Daegu, and 26°C in Busan and Cheongju. Daytime highs will soar to 37°C in Gumi, 35°C in Gangneung, Daejeon, and Jeonju, and 33°C in Seoul and Busan.
In addition, showers are falling in some regions. A heavy rain advisory is in effect in Gurye, South Jeolla, while heavy downpours hit parts of northern and southern Gangwon Province.
