Amid ongoing controversies over alleged "distortion and minimization" of rallies opposing President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment by terrestrial and mainstream media, reports surfaced online on the 12th that the anti-impeachment rally held in Gwanghwamun on the 11th was broadcast as a "pro-impeachment rally."

Previously, Daegukbon's rallies have raised objections to the media for "distorted reporting of participant numbers," labeling them as "far-right and conservative groups," and providing "full shots of pro-impeachment rallies but partial shots of anti-impeachment rallies," reflecting a bias toward the pro-impeachment side.

A similar controversy erupted again on this day.

A Daegukbon representative stated, "Participants' voices of anger are pouring out at this scene. It is evident that journalists are not speaking the truth and are showing biased actions in favor of the Democratic Party, ignoring facts."

He added, "It is deeply regrettable that, despite rising criticism and condemnation of the left-leaning mainstream media, there has been no self-purification process."

Recently, YTN also sparked controversy over distorted reporting by describing a pro-Yoon rally as a "pro-impeachment rally."

On the 2nd, a YTN field reporter, who was live-streaming a pro-Yoon rally in front of President Yoon's residence in Hannam-dong, referred to the anti-impeachment rally as a "pro-impeachment rally."

Although the anti-impeachment rally had significantly more participants, it was observed that YTN reported the anti-impeachment rally as a "pro-impeachment rally."

Citizens questioned why the anti-impeachment rally was being distorted as a "pro-impeachment rally," but the reporter left without answering, provoking public outrage.

In the midst of debates over the production of fake news, it became known that the reporter had led campus MeToo revelations during her university days, spreading fake news and wrongfully accusing an innocent professor, leading to his expulsion from the school. Netizens are expressing their anger, stating that such shameless individuals should no longer be allowed to thrive in society.
