According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 13th, a low-pressure system will pass through the southern part of Korea on Saturday, the 15th, and spring rain is expected to start from Jeju in the early hours of the 15th.

As high pressure strengthens from the north, cold air will flow in, and temperatures are expected to drop from the 16th. Therefore, snow may fall in areas like inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon-do, the northeastern mountainous regions of North Gyeongsang, and the eastern part of Gyeonggi-do, instead of rain.
In particular, heavy snow is expected to fall in the Gangwon mountain regions until the morning of the 17th, and there is a possibility of a heavy snow warning. If temperatures fall lower than expected, snowfall may reach levels that warrant a heavy snow warning in inland areas outside of the Gangwon mountains as well.
Given that there is still time until the weekend, the regions affected by snow may differ from the current forecast. Therefore, it is recommended that those planning to visit Korea check the latest weather updates.
