According to the Ministry of Science and ICT, regulatory updates have been completed, and it is currently reviewing the cross-border service agreement signed between SpaceX and its Korean affiliate, Starlink Korea.

SpaceX established Starlink Korea in 2023 to prepare for its Korean debut. The only remaining steps are government approval of the supply agreement and terminal device certification. The service could launch as early as June.

As of March 2024, SpaceX has launched 7,135 satellites and provides service to about 120 countries with 4.5–5 million users. Monthly service fees are around 100,000 KRW (approx. $75 USD), with an additional charge for the terminal device.
