Happy first Monday of 2026! Today marks "Sohan," one of the 24 solar terms in Korea that signals the beginning of the peak winter season.

As the old Korean saying goes, "Even borrowed cold is expected on Sohan," morning temperatures in Seoul dropped to -4°C (25°F), with some inland areas hitting -10°C (14°F). Despite the chilly air, the sky is incredibly clear and blue, offering a refreshing start to the week.
Thanks to the cold northern winds, the air quality is excellent and free of fine dust.
If you’re planning to visit Korea or have business meetings this week, be sure to pack a warm coat and a cozy scarf.
The weather may be brisk, but we hope your week is as bright and energized as today’s winter sun!
