BTS member Jimin has acknowledged that he dated actress Song Da-eun several years ago, but clarified that they have since broken up.

On the 31st, BigHit Music released a statement regarding the dating rumors, saying, “They had mutual feelings and dated in the past, but that was several years ago, and they are not in a relationship now.”

Dating speculation arose on the 27th when Song Da-eun uploaded a video to her TikTok account showing Jimin. The video captured Song waiting for Jimin in front of an elevator and Jimin appearing surprised before conversing with her.

While BigHit Music did not immediately respond to the rumors, four days later, the agency confirmed the past relationship. “Out of respect for the other party, we refrained from making a statement earlier,” the company explained. “However, with speculation and false rumors spreading about the artist’s private life, we felt it necessary to clarify the minimal facts.”

The agency further requested, “Please refrain from reckless speculation about private matters, and avoid actions that could harm the other individual mentioned, Song Da-eun.”
