The film Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc surpassed 1 million moviegoers just two days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office data, as of 2 p.m. today (23rd), the movie had reached a cumulative audience of 1 million on its second day of release.

This marks the fastest record among films released this year, outpacing Avatar: The Way of Water (3 days), Zombie Daughter (4 days), and Mickey 17 (4 days).

In addition, with 920,000 advance tickets sold before release — the highest figure this year — the film is setting new records, including the best opening ever for a Japanese animation in Korea.
