The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has announced the 25 final winners of the “2025 Korea Tourism Contest (Souvenir Category).”

This year saw a record-high competition ratio of 27 to 1. The Presidential Award went to the “Joseon Royal Wine Stopper,” inspired by the royal throne at Geunjeongjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace, which also won the newly established “Global Popularity Award” based on strong reviews from foreign judges.

The Prime Minister’s Award was given to “Gyodong’s Secret Liquor Daemongjae 1779 Traditional Liquor,” which uses Gyeongju’s traditional brewing methods, and the “Gold Leaf Craft DIY Coloring Kit,” designed to let consumers experience traditional gilding techniques.

Winners of the Innovation Award included the crispy “Jeon Basak Haeyo” snack that recreates the texture of seafood and kimchi pancakes, and the “Nangdo” hanji leather card wallet — affordable, practical products with a creative edge.

In addition, riding the global Netflix K-POP Demon Hunters trend, souvenirs such as the gat-inspired “Irieonora Gat Wind Chime,” “Joseon Style Gat Glass,” and the reinterpretation of traditional cosmetics culture, “Princess Hwahyeop Yeonjigo,” also drew attention.

Beyond prize money, winners will receive follow-up support such as distribution channels through KTO and Hyundai Department Store, 1:1 consulting, and product commercialization funds. KTO stated, “We expect this year’s winners to receive great responses from consumers both at home and abroad.” Meanwhile, the “2025 Korea Tourism Souvenir Expo” will be held from November 21 to 23 at DDP in Seoul, where visitors can experience a wide range of K-goods firsthand.
