Starbucks Korea announced on the 5th that it will collaborate with the National Museum Cultural Foundation "MU:DS" to launch goods inspired by the "A Room of Quiet Contemplation" a signature exhibition area at the National Museum of Korea, on the 7th.
Opened in November 2021, A Room of Quiet Contemplation features two Gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattva Statues (National Treasure No. 78 and No. 83) from the Three Kingdoms period, displayed side by side under a ceiling of starry lights. The space is designed for visitors to fully immerse themselves in quiet reflection. As of the end of last month, the exhibition has welcomed over 3.41 million visitors.

The new collection consists of seven items themed around "stars" and the Pensive Bodhisattva, symbolizing the essence of this collaboration. Special gift packaging is also available, enhancing its collectible appeal.

A standout item is the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Bearista Demi Mug (89ml),” featuring Starbucks' beloved Bearista character designed in the style of the Pensive Bodhisattva, paired with a water globe.

Another key item is the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Figure Plate,” which showcases a Bearista Pensive Bodhisattva figure in deep thought. This plate serves not only as a dessert dish but can also be used as an incense holder or combined with decorative items like the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Bead Charm” to create a stylish interior accent.。

Other products include the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Sion Mug (237ml)” that reveals floating stars when filled with hot water, the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Glow-in-the-Dark Glass (300ml),” the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Magic Tumbler (473ml)” filled with shimmering glitter, and the “A Room of Quiet Contemplation Mini Bag” adorned with pearl beads representing stars.
To commemorate this collaboration, Starbucks is offering a special A Room of Quiet Contemplation fan as a gift for customers who purchase over 60,000 KRW of merchandise from the Starbucks online store, while supplies last.
Starbucks is committed to promoting and preserving cultural heritage. Earlier this year, they launched merchandise inspired by the museum’s artifact “Yi Han-cheol – Study Surrounded by Plum Blossoms.” The company also supports initiatives such as restoring the Korean Empire’s legation in Washington D.C., contributing to independence-related heritage preservation, and sponsoring cultural events in traditional palaces.
