On December 28, the opening of the KINTEX station on the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Area Express Railway (GTX) Line A is expected to significantly improve accessibility for event attendees.

The second phase of the GTX-A line will stop at five stations: Seoul Station, Yeonsinnae, Daegok, KINTEX, and Unjeong Central.

Previously, traveling from central Seoul to KINTEX via public transportation, such as buses or subways, or by private car took over an hour. However, with the GTX-A line, the travel time will be reduced to just 16 minutes.

KINTEX, which has faced criticism for its low accessibility to Seoul, has resolved a major issue with the launch of the GTX-A line.

The vice president of Messe Esang, a company that organizes various exhibitions at KINTEX annually, remarked, "Event organizers hosting events at KINTEX are highly optimistic about the transportation infrastructure improvements brought by the opening of GTX-A. It will not only make it easier for general attendees to visit but also for international buyers to travel from central Seoul to KINTEX."
