Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University revealed on the 14th through his social media that he had confirmed this fact after receiving reports from Koreans living in Thailand.

According to Professor Seo, the controversial restaurant is "Ant Cave," operating in One Bangkok, and is known for having numerous chain stores in China.

The cover of the menu brochure, which includes dishes such as Kimchi Jjigae, Doenjang Jjigae, and Sundubu Jjigae, describes them as "cuisine from China's northeastern region" with an illustration of kimchi being prepared at the bottom. The kimchi-related menu items were incorrectly labeled as "Pao Cai" in Chinese.

Professor Seo stated, "The Chinese franchise 'Michun,' which has over 1,000 stores featuring stone pot bibimbap as a signature dish, has stirred controversy by promoting it within their stores as 'Joseonjok Intangible Cultural Heritage,'" and pointed out, "Koreans operate many Chinese restaurants worldwide, but they do not claim Chinese dishes as Korean."

He further commented, "Exploiting the nationality and residence of the Joseonjok in China to incorporate Korea’s unique culture as their own is blatant theft," and emphasized, "The Chinese should first learn how to respect the cultures of other countries."
