Mom’s Touch will become the first Korean quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand to enter Uzbekistan.

On the 26th of last month, the company signed a master franchise agreement with local partner ONE FOOD LLC. The first store, approximately 150 pyeong in size (about 495㎡ / 5,330 sq ft), will open in a prime commercial district of Tashkent within this year, with plans to expand to 60 locations in the future.
Uzbekistan is the most populous country in Central Asia, home to about 170,000 ethnic Koreans and known for its strong interest in Hallyu and K-food. With 88% of the population being Muslim and avoiding pork, Mom’s Touch’s chicken-focused menu offers a natural advantage. Recently, dining-out and food delivery culture has been growing, especially in the capital region, creating favorable conditions for QSR growth.
The local partner commented, “After reviewing multiple Korean brands, we found Mom’s Touch to be the most competitive.” With this entry, Mom’s Touch aims to expand its influence into neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as Russia and the halal markets in the Middle East.
