The National Palace Museum of Korea, under the Cultural Heritage Administration, announced on the 11th that it has completely revamped its online museum, allowing anyone to enjoy various exhibitions for free without having to visit the physical museum in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

First launched in 2023, the online museum was designed to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of royal relics by realistically recreating the permanent exhibition halls of the actual museum in Virtual Reality (VR). It also features various materials such as photos, audio guides, and videos to enhance the viewing experience.

The newly revamped online museum is now divided into six categories: Permanent Exhibitions, Special Exhibitions, Multimedia Books, 100 Selected Artifacts, Royal Treasures of the Joseon Dynasty, and Games. These sections introduce the museum’s collections and exhibitions through various interactive formats.
